Payday 2 by Overkill Software
It’s buggy, a bit janky, not feature-complete, has a goofy lobby setup, and it’s borderline unfair at times.

I’m still recommending it because it’s fun.

Rob banks, trash malls, knock over jewelry stores, cook meth during a police raid, steal paintings, have heat-style gunfights in the street hauling bags of cocaine to escape vehicles. Gunplay feels much better than the first, sound design is still great minus the voice acting, music is fantastic, stages are sorta-kinda randomized a bit for repeat play. Unlock system is as grindy as any unlock system sadly; you need to unlock gun attachments from the random bonus rewards you get at the end of successful heists before you can even buy them.

Also get in now unless you have a group of friends to play with; here in a couple months you’ll probably get kicked from every pubbie lobby if your level is not sufficient since without some smattering of skills from the 4 trees provided and some better armor/guns you’re essentially a liability.

When you get in game though and finally complete a heist it’s probably one of the most satisfying feelings I’ve had in a game. A perfect heist in Payday 2 is probably the most “Fuck Yeah” feelgood moment I’ve had in gaming for quite a while.
